NEWS Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Mermaids capture national PONY Palomino Softball
The Mermaid Girls Softball League represented the city of Oxnard and state of California at the Pony National Slow-Pitch Tournament last week in Slidell, La. The girls captured the national championship with a 6-0 record in the Palomino division (18 and under), thus repeating as back-to-back champions in its division.The Mermaid girls captured titles in 2002 and 2005.....
