We strive to provide a place for girls in our community to learn the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and courage. Mermaid Girls Softball League has been in our community for over 40 years. The original league started at Moranda Park in Port Hueneme. Currently, we use the fields located at E.O. Green Junior High School and adjacent Carty Park in the city of Oxnard.
We have been able to send teams to the Pony National tournament, and in 2002 and 2005, were successful in taking first place. We were proud to announce that our girls brought back the title in 2007, and defended it to win again in 2008!
None of this would be possible, without the generous support of our parents, volunteers and community sponsors.

Mermaid Girls Softball League is governed by an executive board of thirteen members. All support comes from the coaches, team parents and the board members volunteering their time to the players and the league.
The Mermaids are a non-profit 501c. organization, therefore your donation is tax deductible.
